Just read where Catt said she was outta here...and that she
was the 4th long time poster leaving....
First, if she's the 4th, I know 1 other, so who are the other 2?
Secondly, you will all be back, you come here for a reason.
I come here for a reason, I have never figured out the reason myself,
but there must be one 
Third, your leaving is unauthorized, I haven't give you permission 
Now, go away  |

I am not sure myself Gornman. Perhaps it is the time of year. Even the Captain's Club is dead in the water. (Not sure if it is worth the extra money for membership.)
I guess I was hoping that we could all come together to do a charity project like sponsor a horse for the HCHS. I know that we are not all swimming in money, but I figured if everyone threw in a dollar, we could make some youngster happy and show that we are more than the typical bunch of shirt ripping, autograph seeking, childishly swooning bunch of moronic fans.
I also thought that we were mature enough to discuss what would be contraversial subjects here without some folks getting their panties into a wad.
It seems that every time I recommend this site to someone who might be interested, the whole place seems to erupt into a bar brawl.
The one thing that I have always liked about this site is that it is not the typical teeny-bopper website where little girls are swooning over celeb's names. Ugh! It is a place for folks to carry on regular, everyday conversations.
We used to have someone who posted a "Topic of the Week" sort of thing. It was sometimes a poll or just a general question that everyone could give their view on. It usually went fairly well, but occasionally someone would show their a$$ and spoil the thread. (Most of those folks are gone now.)
I don't know how others who come here feel, but I know that my views on national and world issues have certainly changed and I have grown from the experience of conversing with others from varied backgrounds and cultures. I have even learned something about Samhein.

Wellllll...... I learned my lesson a few years ago. I got in on a topic and my point of view was trampled, I was personally insulted, etc. The folks that did this are no longer here. I stayed away for a while, then came back (after a few months). I now have a new outlook: If the topic is getting too heated between folks, I stay the hell out of it!!!!!
I don't usually come in here every day (I don't have enough time in the day), but I do look around quite often!!!
BTW, ya'll ain't gettin' rid of me this time!!! Yer stuck with me!!!  I refuse to leave, so nyah nyah nyah!!!!! 
I'm gonna go start a new topic now. Maybe it can be our "topic of the week"??? |

Apparently she thought we were ignoring her when we were not. At least, I know that I wasn't. I happened to be watching TV on my computer which slowed everything else down and it took a while to post anything here. |

Maybe if you respected other peoples right to have a different opinon to yours Gornie, they may stick around.
I have enjoyed talking with Littlestar far more than anyone else on here, she is intellengent, fair and if I could pick anyone to have lunch with, it would be her.
Why do people come here, they like William Shattner. But every discussion board has a life span, after a while everything has been said and people then just argue.
I have no idea what drives people to attack others on a DB, its seriously not that important if you have a different view, wouldn't life be boring if we were all the same.. |
